Export Zendesk into a Company Brain — the product pain map
Support history is the most honest record of where a product hurts. The brain reads who asked, from which organization and how often — never what the ticket said.
What a Zendesk export holds — and what the brain makes of it
Zendesk support must enable the account data export once; after that an admin requests it from the Admin Center and receives JSON or CSV by email. The brain builder reads customer organizations into the market view, requesters as people at their organization, and ticket volume with a per-requester signal into a support layer. Subjects and descriptions are never read.
Beside a CRM export the brain can put support load next to deal value; beside Jira it can show which components the most-requesting customers were waiting on.

How to export your Zendesk data
The exact clicks, as they are today. Platforms move menus; the engine’s source docs are updated when they do.
- 01
Admin Center → Account → Requests to export data
- 02
(Zendesk support must enable the export once) → JSON/CSV by email
- 03
Drop the archive on Zendesk in Studio’s Sources — or tell Claude Code or Codex “build my brain from this”. The source is detected by itself, even inside a combined archive.
Then, next month
An export is a snapshot. Drop a newer one and press Update: your edits and _notes/ are kept, and the update report says what changed.
Then ask it
What you can ask a brain built from Zendesk
Examples, not promises: the answer is whatever your notes hold, and every answer cites the notes it came from. The more exports you add, the more these questions cross sources.
- Which customer organizations raise the most tickets relative to their size?
- Who at our largest account has opened tickets this year, and who on our side answered?
- Which accounts in the pipeline already have a support history with us?
limitVolume and people only; the brain cannot say what a ticket was about, by design.
Good to know
The honest answers.
Is the ticket text imported? No. Ticket subjects and descriptions are never read; the brain keeps organizations, requesters and counts.
Why does the export need enabling? Zendesk switches on account data exports per account on request. Ask Zendesk support once; the Admin Center option appears afterwards.
