Export HubSpot into a Company Brain — the SMB customer graph

HubSpot exports one object at a time, and that is all the brain needs: companies, contacts, deals, tickets and owners become a customer graph with a pipeline timeline.

CSV per objectzero network calls in the build

What a HubSpot export holds — and what the brain makes of it

From each object’s list view — Contacts, Companies, Deals, Tickets — export as CSV with all properties and keep the hubspot-… filenames so the builder recognises them. The brain writes companies (geocoded) into the market view, contacts into people joined to their company, deals into the pipeline timeline, tickets into per-contact support signal, and deal and ticket owners into your own team.

For a small company this is often the whole customer memory. Beside a Slack export the brain can tie a deal to the channel where it was discussed, and beside the Workspace directory to the people who were on the calls.

The exact clicks, as they are today. Platforms move menus; the engine’s source docs are updated when they do.

Drop the archive on HubSpot in Studio’s Sources — or tell Claude Code or Codex “build my brain from this”. The source is detected by itself, even inside a combined archive.

Then, next month

An export is a snapshot. Drop a newer one and press Update: your edits and _notes/ are kept, and the update report says what changed.

How Update works

Then ask it

What you can ask a brain built from HubSpot

Examples, not promises: the answer is whatever your notes hold, and every answer cites the notes it came from. The more exports you add, the more these questions cross sources.

  • Which customers raised the most tickets in the quarter after they bought?
  • Which deals stalled at the same stage, and who owned them?
  • Which companies in our pipeline are in the same city as our next event?

limitFour separate exports, each a snapshot; deal notes and email logs are not part of the CSV and are not read.

Good to know

The honest answers.

Why keep the file names? The builder detects a HubSpot export by its hubspot-… file names. Rename them and the files are rescued as unmapped rather than read as the CRM.

Does it read emails logged in HubSpot? No. Only the object CSVs are read; logged emails are not exported with them and the brain never reads mail bodies from any source.
