Privacy Policy
This policy explains what the secondbrainlink.com website collects and how we use it. It covers the website only. The downloadable Second Brain Link tool runs entirely on your machine and sends nothing — see the privacy model for how that works in code.

Who we are
This website is operated by the maintainer of Second Brain Link. For any privacy question or request, reach us through our contact form.
What we collect
- Analytics (only if you consent). We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — pages viewed, approximate location (derived from IP, which Google does not log in full), device/browser type, and which calls-to-action are clicked. This data is pseudonymous and is not used to identify you personally.
- Contact form. If you send a message via the contact page, we receive the name, email, optional company, and message you submit, in order to reply.
- Standard server logs. Like any website, our host may process basic request metadata (IP, timestamp, user agent) transiently to serve and secure the site.
Cookies & consent
Analytics runs under Google Consent Mode v2 and defaults to denied: no analytics cookies are written and no analytics data is sent until you click Allow all in the cookie banner. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, GA stays off. We store a single small cookie recording your choice (so we don't ask again) for up to 12 months. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your cookies for this site.
How long we keep it
- Analytics: aggregated in Google Analytics with event-level data retained for up to 14 months.
- Contact messages: kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry.
Sharing
We don't sell your data. Analytics data is processed by Google as our processor. We do not enable Google Ads/advertising signals — the ad-related Consent Mode flags stay denied.
Your choices
- Decline analytics in the cookie banner, or clear cookies to reset your choice.
- Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to block GA across all sites.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold — use our contact form to exercise them.
